Whistler North

Neighborhoods north of Whistler are characterized by extensive green space and access to lakes, hiking and biking trails, two golf courses and more.

Lost Lake, Green Lake and Nicklaus North Golf Course are some of the great features found north of the Village. Glacier-fed and frigid, Green Lake is the largest lake in the Whistler Valley. Parkhurst, an old “ghost town” and defunct mill are located on the lake’s far shore.

Green Lake is popular for fishing, as well as canoeing, kayaking and other watersports.

The Lost Lake Park system has extensive hiking and mountain bike trails and cross country ski trails in the winter. Lost Lake is a small lake tucked up in the trees and is great for swimming. Lost Lake Park is a short walk from the White Gold neighbourhood, as is the incomparable Fairmont Chateau Whistler Golf Course.

White Gold, one of Whistler’s oldest communities offers properties consisting of single-family detached houses, pensions and, bed and breakfasts.

Just north of White Gold is Spruce Grove, a family-oriented subdivision, featuring baseball fields and a community venue, as well as offering a mix of employee housing, townhomes, duplexes, single-family homes and luxury properties.

Next is Alpine Meadows, which features a unique mix of homes from the resort’s past and present. The subdivision offers a combination of townhomes, traditional ski cabins and modern mountain homes, plus spectacular views of Armchair, Rainbow, as well as Whistler and Blackcomb Mountains. Whistler’s secondary school and the Meadow Park Sports Centre are also located in Alpine Meadows.

Just a short drive past Alpine you will find one of Whistler’s newest subdivisions, Rainbow. Home owners here enjoy breath-taking views across Green Lake to Whistler, Blackcomb and Wedge Mountains. Rainbow residents can select from a combination of single-family homes and duplexes..

The farthest north of Whistler’s residential neighbourhoods is Emerald Estates, named for the colour of Green Lake upon which it borders. Emerald Estates offers stunning views of Wedge and Armchair Mountains, and some properties have waterfront access.

Lost Lake

Located a short walk from Whistler Village, Lost Lake is a popular summer destination for walkers, hikers, mountain bikers and swimmers. It features a picnic area with tables and restrooms, as well as incredible scenery. In the winter the Lost Lake Cross Country ski trails are groomed and maintained by the Municipality.

Nicklaus North Golf Course

A par 71, 18-hole challenging course designed by the Golden Bear himself. The course winds along the valley floor, past majestic for trees, babbling brooks and an emerald-coloured lake.

Meadow Park Recreation Centre

Whistlers public recreation centre features an arena, swimming pool, squash courts and a full fitness facility.
